About Us - Little Apple Wooden Puzzles
Steve & Linda HallI am Steve Hall of Manhattan, Kansas (the little apple!). My wife, Linda, and I have five grown daughters and, as of last count, ten grandchildren.

I began making children’s furniture and toys for my daughters many years ago, gradually selling a few of them to friends and at craft shows. In 1992, I bought an established home-based puzzle business from a local couple. My “hobby” has grown to the extent that now both my wife and I work full time making and marketing our puzzles, mostly at craft shows.

Each puzzle is a unique, hand-crafted, heirloom-quality toy, crafted lovingly by our own hands. The puzzles are made of Baltic birch plywood and brightly colored with non-toxic, lead-free wood stains that enhance (not cover) the beauty of the natural wood grain. Each puzzle undergoes extensive sanding to insure a smooth, safe finish. Peg handles are inserted into drilled holes and secured with super glue. They will not come out under normal use.

I am a charter member of the Kansas Quality Woodworkers Association. Because our puzzles meet the highest standards of quality, they have been accepted by the “From the Land of Kansas” marketing program sponsored by the State of Kansas Department of Commerce.
